Hamble conquers the World

Not once, but twice around the world. After 39,062 miles Hamble Cycle Group are back in Hamble.

Our lockdown challenge is complete, just as the marinas, clubs, village hostelries and businesses begin to reopen.

50+ cyclists of all shapes, sizes and abilities have combined over the last 100 days to shake off the constraints of Covid - 19, keep busy and get fit.

Individually, in twos and socially distancing small groups we have added miles to our challenge by cycling, walking and in some cases jogging around our living rooms, garages, gardens and even the lanes of Hampshire to get us over the line.

Our "virtual" tour has given us a focus and a perspective, as well as raising around £1500 for Solent Mind. What a brilliant result - let's hope we can maintain it now the world is moving slowly back to normal.
